The Township of Huron-Kinloss is taking applications now for its “Women in Construction: Build Your Future” course.
The program begins in May and September and will be structured over 3 stages; 3 weeks of foundational skills, 10 weeks of trade related training and 8 to 12 weeks of paid work placement.
On top of learning an employable trade participants will also receive work boots, a tool belt and a basic tool kit.
There are no prerequisites to participate, and funding may be available to reduce employment barriers such as day care and transportation costs.
