The Huron County Museum & Historical Gaol shared word today of the launch of a Young Canuckstorian film series celebrating the County’s Hometown Heroes.
The films explore history as told by kids for kids and the full series is now available on the Museum’s YouTube channel.
Notable people & events featured include Exeter-native Harriet Brooks who changed the face of science for years to come, the 2011 tornado that devasted Goderich and surrounding areas and Wingham-native Alice Munro who won the Nobel Prize for Literature in 2013.
The films were created by students from the Avon Maitland District School Board enrichment program and the 1st Bayfield Guides in partnership with video producer Mickey Maple.
