Huron Museum share story of Huron County Witch Trial in Honour of Halloween

With tonight being Halloween, the Huron County Museum & Historical Gaol shared word of the tale of Maggie Pollock and the Huron County Witch Trial as written by area students Lyra Lewis & Mary Murdoch.

Margaret Pollock, more often referred to as “Maggie or “Miss Pollock” was a woman bore in Huron County on May 11, 1879.

She was a housekeeper at her brother’s farm in Morris Township, near Blyth.

She claimed to be possessed with a peculiar occult gift that she used several times to help locate stolen or lost property.

Her powers for seeing the unseen led to her fateful case.
