Kim Harbinson has been named the Superintendent of Education with the Bluewater District School Board who will assume the role as of September 1st.
The appointment fills a vacancy with the retirement of Wendy Louwerse.
Kim has been a longstanding staff member with the school board who began teaching in 1990.
Kim eventually rose to positions in school administration such as vice-principal at Saugeen District Secondary and principal at Bruce Peninsula and John Diefenbaker Senior School.
Kim says she is deeply committed to public education and passionate about fostering meaningful community partnerships which support student engagement and achievement.
