Kincardine council spent time on Monday learning more about the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission’s Independent Environmental Monitoring in Bruce County.
The CNSC is working across the area who took some samples in Bruce County to help demonstrate that the public and environment is protected from emissions related to the facility’s nuclear activities.
The results of the programs are submitted to the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission to ensure compliance as set out in regulations which oversee Canada’s nuclear industry.
Mayor Kenneth Craig was joined with Councilors Rory Cavanagh and Bill Stewart learning more about the monitoring program.
