The Impact Assessment Agency of Canada and the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission spoke to council earlier this week providing an update on the Bruce C assessment process.
The new project proposes to provide up to 4800 megawatts of new nuclear generating capacity at the Bruce Power site.
The Bruce C project is currently in its planning phase and during the process are gathering public comments, define what needs assessment and the ways people would prefer to participate.
Kincardine Mayor Kenneth Craig says its important for the municipality to be involved on the planning and preparation for the potential impacts associated with the Bruce C project.
