The Kincardine Environmental Committee is out with ways people can be more proactive in being green.
Committee member Amanda Saxton says one of the things residents can do is be aware of what they put in the blue box as it often can have a negative effect.
Saxton adds that some stuff like certain film plastics that don’t make a loud crinkly sound can be placed in the blue box.
She says people can also cut down on waste that ends up in the landfill by packing their lunch in reusable containers.
