The Municipality of Kincardine are sending condolences to the Town of Goderich after the passing of Mayor John Grace.
In a statement, the municipality says Mayor Grace’s passing will impact the vibrant community of which he was so proud, noting his commitment to municipal council and his community throughout his life was immeasurable.
“Mayor Grace demonstrated a passion for his community through his dedication to municipal leadership, whether acting as a driving force behind significant community projects or navigating tough times. On behalf of the Municipality of Kincardine, I send our sincere sympathies and support to Mayor Grace’s family and friends. Our thoughts are also with the Town of Goderich Council, staff, and to the community during this incredibly challenging time,” said Mayor Gerry Glover in a release.
Grace was 65 at the time of his death. He was elected to the Mayor’s office in 2018.
