The Kincardine & Community Health Care Foundation has kicked into 2024 with the largest personal gift in its history.
The gift worth $250,000 over the next five years comes from the generosity of Dr. Jason, his wife Stacey and son Matthew.
Dr. Murray, a local physician, hospital advocate and member of the campaign team wanted to give back to his local hospital.
The donation helps the hospital towards it $18 million goal for redevelopment plans.
“I am very blessed to be working in the community I grew up in. The support I have received from my family, friends, and patients is truly overwhelming. We felt this gift was a way we could give back to the community” said Dr. Murray.
The future of health care in Kincardine is very bright with new doctors coming to the area within the next year. We look forward to restoring Kincardine hospital back to a facility to be proud of with our new CT scanner and soon new emergency department and MRI machine.”
In recognition of the gift, a trauma room in the new emergency department will be named for Dr. Murray and his family.
