Kincardine man faces charges after Incident at Local Business Saturday evening

A 33-year-old Kincardine man is facing several charges in connection to a disturbance involving a weapon at a local business.

Officers with South Bruce OPP along with members of the Tactics & Rescue, West Region Emergency Response Team and Canine Units responded to Queen Street around quarter after 5 Saturday afternoon, blocking off a section of Lambton Street as the investigation was carried out.

Authorities say the suspect was taken into custody without incident.

The accused has been charged with possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, assault, and uttering threats, and will have to face a judge in court next month to answer to the charges.
