A Kincardine resident is out almost $100,000 after being the victim of a cryptocurrency scam.
South Bruce OPP say they are investigating a large sum scam after a victim made several transaction to a fraudster through a crypto trading platform.
The victim lost $95,000 from the scam.
OPP say cryptocurrency is not a get rich overnight scheme despite what advertisements might say, adding those who choose to invest should do their research beforehand and consider speaking to a financial advisor and that if it sounds too good to be true, it likely is.
