Kincardine council has approved for staff to apply for an Electric Vehicle ChargeOn program grant made from the Ministry of Transportation Ontario.
The approval was given on a report delivered by Corey Voisin, the town’s operations manager.
The application deadline to apply for the grant is January 31st.
MTO can provide 50-75 per cent of capital funding through post construction rebates of up to $1 million per project.
Kincardine must also have properties in mind for the charging stations and must be accessible and made available to the public 24 hours a day, 365 days per year.
