The centre is located at 1802 Highway 21, offers residents and information, maps, spirit wear and education about all of the amenities the community has to offer.
The Municipality has received notice from the building’s landlord that it has been sold and will change ownership at the end of August.
In advance of a possible termination of their lease prior to it’s April 2024 expire the Tourist Centre is testing out three models of service that began June 1st.
The proposed models would include only operating the centre itself 3 days a week from Wednesday until Friday, with a tent setup outside to attract people to stop.
They would also implement a Tourist Centre at the Kincardine Centre for the Arts from Saturday to Monday and a pop-up tent at high traffic locations on Fridays where there are no special events.
The Tourist Centre would also be open at the same time.
The Centre would not be open on Tuesday.
Council is discussing the options presented in the report with further information expected shortly.
