Two area veterinary clinics are hosting canine blood donor clinics next week to allow eligible dogs to share the gift that can help 3 dogs with each donation.
In order to donate blood the dog must be between 1 to 8 years old, be over 55 pounds and be up-to-date on all vaccines or titles. They should also be in good health and have a good temperament.
The canine blood donor clinics are next Wednesday, August 16th at Kincardine Veterinary Services from 10 to 5 and Thursday, August 17th at Queen Street Veterinary Services from 10 to 4.
There is a free heartworm test & blood borne disease screening with a donation as well as a bandana and dog tag.
