Lakeshore Triathlon has pledged more than $10,000 towards the Saugeen Shores community.
Following the success of their event in July, Lakeshore Triathlon pledged their donation from the proceeds of the race to local groups and organizations.
Sarah Foster, Race Director says they were able to donate $13,500 back to the community, almost double the amount from the last year.
Among those receiving support include $1000 to the Saugeen Shores Lifesaving Club, Blue Water Rescue and the Bruce Shrine Club as well as $500 to St John Ambulance.
$5000 was also donated to the Kabaeshiwim Respite Womens Shelter and Womens House Serving Bruce and Grey.
