Lest We Forget Crosswalk Coming to Kincardine

Lest We Forget Crosswalk Coming to Kincardine

The Municipality of Kincardine has approved a Lest We Forget Remembrance Crosswalk.

A request from the Kincardine Legion came to council to get the crosswalk installed at the west side crossing of Lambton Street and Huron Terrace, the nearest intersection to the Legion.

The design will include two soldiers on a backdrop of white and grey stripes with the words Lest We Forget in red at each end of the crosswalk.

The goal is to have this crosswalk complete for the 100th birthday of the Legion on July 17th.

Teri Leslie, President of the Royal Canadian Legion Kincardine says every step across this crosswalk invites a moment of reflection of the sacrifices our veterans made for the community.
