A Lucknow woman won the Canadian Cross Country Championships at Mooney’s Bay in Ottawa over the weekend.
Olympian Julie-Anne Staehli bested the competition by 22 seconds, running the 10K race in just over 34 minutes.
Staehli was coming off a personal best in the 5K the weekend prior, completing the Sugar Run in Memphis in 15:33.

She previously ran the 5000m in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics and is hoping to be back competing in Paris in 2024.
