Maitland Cemetary in Goderich sees new Flag Pole Installed and Flag Raising Ceremony Monday

It was a solemn occasion in Goderich on Monday with the dedication of the new flag pole at the Veterans section of the Maitland Cemetery.

The Goderich Lions Club and the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 109 in Goderich sponsored the purchase and installation of the new flag pole and a ceremony was held with the raising of the Canadian flag for the first time.

Present at the Ceremony were Goderich Mayor John Grace, Legion Member Bob Fowler, Legion President Paul Thorne, Town Director of Operations Sean Thomas, and Supervisor of the Parks Department Nathan Feagan.
