A Southgate man is facing an assault charge after an incident which took place on the ice during a hockey game.
On March 23rd Grey Bruce OPP were called about an incident which took place at a facility in Southgate on March 21st.
Police learned during a mens rec hockey tournament in the middle of a game, a player was assaulted on the ice.
The victim suffered serious injuries as a result of the incident.
A 26 year old man of Southgate was charged with Aggravated Assault who will appear in court in July.
