The Municipality of Kincardine is named councilor Mike Hinchberger as Deputy Mayor.
The position was declared vacant on April 22nd following the resignation of Andrea Clarke who has taken on a role as part time Deputy Judge.
Council filled the vacancy, appointing a current member of council per the Council Vacancy Policy.
Councilor Hinchberger will serve as Deputy Mayor up until the end of the current term of council which is November 14th.
Council has now declared a seat in the chambers as vacant for Hinchberger and council will now fill this vacancy by appointment as a by-election is not permitted as this took place after March 31st in a municipal election year.
