The South Bruce Grey Health Centre has introduced MOLLI Surgical’s new technology to the organizations surgical program to improve breast cancer treatment.
The wire-free and radiation free system is used to find tumours which can’t be felt during surgery.
The MOLLI 2 System is an innovative technology that enables radiologists to mark the location of lesions with the MOLLI marker.
Surgeons then use a wand and tablet to locate the tumor.
General Surgeon Dr. John Stirrat says breast cancer treatment can be daunting for patients and he believes the MOLLI 2 System helps to improve the process.
