Bruce-Grey-Owen Sound MPP Paul Vickers has voiced his displeasure of operations winding down at TC Transcontinental’s operations in Owen Sound.
The operations at the printing plant were said to slow down over a decrease in demand.
Vickers says he understands the company will provide career services, employment supports, counselling and will look for opportunities to relocate workers to other operations.
Vickers adds the Rapid Re-Employment and Training Service has reached out to TC Transcontinental to support workers affected and provide them with various employment services.
