An Oakville resident who tried fleeing from police didn’t get all too far before being arrested.
On August 19th just after 7pm, Grey Bruce OPP responded to multiple traffic complaints regarding a silver sedan on Highway 10 in Flesherton and Markdale with witnesses saying the driver was going at fast speeds, making unsafe passes and not staying in their lane.
Officers found the vehicle at a gas station and tried to stop the driver when they sped off but was later found on Main Street West in Markdale.
The 25 year old of Oakville was arrested and charged with Dangerous Operation, Operation While Impaired and Failure to Stop for Police.
The accused will appear in Owen Sound court next month.
