One person has been taken to hospital after a dog attack in Hensall.
On October 16th just before 1pm, police responded to a report of an aggressive dog described as a pit bull which attack a pedestrian.
Officers arrived with the dog running at large who remained aggressive and posed an immediate threat to public safety.
One of the officers discharged their weapon toward the dog which then fled the area.
It’s believed the dog may have been struck but its condition is not known.
The dog fled southbound through the community near an elementary school with officers then seeing the dog running through a farm field south of Hensall and into a wooded area just west of London Road.
The dog is said to be weighing around 120lbs, predominately white in colour with some black fur.
