Drivers in Ontario will soon not need to go in person to renew their license plates as the government moves to an automatic system.
Premier Doug Ford announced a bill will be introduced in legislature to a make the renewals automatic so long as the driver has a clean record.
Those with parking tickets or toll bills will still be required to renew in person.
Ford in 2022 scrapped the $120 annual fee for renewals which police have said there more and more drivers forgetting to renew now that the service has been made free.
