Ontario Power Generation and Bruce Power released a report yesterday that outlines the work the two are doing to successfully complete refurbishment and Major Component Replacement projects for the power generating site.
In the report they outline how the unique co-operation has resulted in many efficiencies, reduced costs, limited risk and ensured the projects are completed safely, with quality, on time & budget, providing value to Ontarians.
The project is being undertaken, as well as one at Darlington Nuclear to ensure low-cost, carbon-free and reliable electricity for the next 30 years and beyond.
More than 90 percent of money spent in terms of the mid-life refurbishment of the reactors is being kept in Ontario as well.
