The Huron County OPP advised area snowmobile operators that the OFSC trailers are not open yet in Huron County.
The advisory on social media by Constable Craig Soldan comes after a teenager was injured in Huron East on a snowmobile.
“The issues here is that the trail isn’t opened yet. They haven’t been groomed. We don’t have enough snow. They are not officially opened. We know people travel on these trails but we want to remind the public it is illegal to do so until these trails are opened up.”
Constable Soldan also said that the teenager in question is recovering from their injuries and added that it goes to show how quickly it can happen and it could have been much worse.
#HuronOPP would like to remind snowmobile operators that the OFSC trails are NOT open in Huron County…yet. Please respect the property owners that allow these trails to exist.
