The Huron County OPP have charged a Goderich resident with assault after an incident yesterday afternoon.
Officers were contacted to investigate after employees with the Town of Goderich were yelled at while they were conducting annual tree trimming at Sunset Park on Essex Street.
Another staff attended to mediate the situation but at around 2:40 pm during discussion with the individual, the accused allegedly assaulted one of the employees.
As a result of the investigation a 70 year old male resident of Goderich was charged with one counrt of assault. They have been released from custody with a court date in January 2023.
