Huron County OPP are looking into counterfeit $5 bills circulating in Goderich and Clinton.
The public and businesses community is asked to take the time check your currency before accepting it.
Unusual colour, excessive wear and different sized bills are immediate clues that it might not be a legitimate note.
Those who have any information regarding the use of counterfeit currency are asked to contact OPP with more information on fake bills being available from the Bank of Canada.
