OPP seize Firearms & Lay Charges in Execution of Warrants in Saugeen Shores

The OPP led Provincial Weapons Enforcement Unit has seized firearms and laid charges in Saugeen Shores on Wednesday.

The investigation began earlier this year when a firearm, which hadn’t been reported lost, stolen or sold, was seized during an investigation in another area of the Province.

On March 22nd, as part of an ongoing investigation, Weapons Enforcement members, as well as Grey Bruce Community Street Crimes and Saugeen Shores Police executed warrants on Mill Street and County Road 17.

A 40-year-old male of Saugeen Shores  has been charged with four counts of weapons not reported, 3 counts of careless storage of a firearm and possession of a firearm in  an unauthorized place.

The accused has been released and is set to appear before a Walkerton court on May 3rd.
