OPP continue to urge drivers to drive accordingly to the winter conditions while out on the roads.
During the first few snowfalls police find themselves responding to multiple collisions or charging drivers for driving on closed roads due to poor weather.
Other issues seen which can cause crashes are drivers passing snowplows.
Sargent Ed Sanchuk with West Region OPP headquarters says in poor driving conditions, its all about taking your time.
“You’re eventually going to arrive to your destination so take your foot off that gas pedal. We’re not invincible, we need to slow down. Drive according to the weather conditions, when you see snow go slow” said Sanchuk.
Police also remind drivers on multi lane highways typically snowplows will operate in tandem and add it is not safe to pass snowplows working in this matter.
