The OPP West Region released their recent “Move Over” Campaign results.
They say police charged nearly 100 drivers following the 4-day traffic enforcement campaigned aimed at getting drivers to follow the move over law.
It was launched after the Region experienced six separate incidents involving drivers who collided with stationary OPP vehicles pulled off the road assisting those in need of help.
Between Feb. 13th and 16th they charged 95 with failing to move over, 42 with warnings, 99 with speeding, 4 with stunt driving, and 44 with other highway traffic act charged.
Despite the 284 total charges, police say they are satisfied that most drivers are following the move over law.
