Over 20 new EV stations coming to Huron County

Over 20 new EV stations coming to Huron County

Twenty two new electric vehicle charging stations are slated to come to Huron County before the end of the year.

The project is made possible by a $110,000 contribution from ChargerCrew Canada and a $55,000 contribution from Bruce Power.

Six ports will be located in Goderich, four will be in Huron East, and the remaining twelve ports will be placed throughout Huron County. Each municipality has an agreement in place to own and maintain the chargers for the next 10 years.

Mayor of Goderich, Myles Murdock and Deputy Mayor of Huron East Robert Fisher said in a release that the stations will help increase tourism in the area while also providing the infrastructure needed for a more sustainable future.
