As numbers start to come in for the Terry Fox Run across Canada, in Wingham it was their biggest event yet.
255 participants did their part, raising more than $42,000 this year and topping last years number of $39,000.
With Winghams leg of the run being 39 years, it was the first time $40,000 had ever been raised.
Proceeds from the run will continue to support cancer research through the Terry Fox Foundation.
