More than a quarter century of Westario Power was celebrated in June.
Westario held its annual general meeting last month, providing updates to shareholders on the company’s operations, strategic direction and the sale of the utility to ERTH Corporation.
Westario is expected the transaction will close in the 4th quarter this year following the regulatory approval by the Ontario Energy Board.
President and CEO Walter Malcolm says over the past several years they’ve talked extensively on the future of Westario Power and after careful consideration are pleased to move forward with the sale, adding they believe this partnership will continue to deliver excellent service to customers while creating a bright future for electricity distribution across the communities served.
