A $197,000 grant given to the Owen Sound Little Theatre and Roxy Star Company in 2022 has been put to good use.
The grant given by the Ontario Trillium Foundation as part of the Resilient Communities Fund was used to help create a performance based program for adults with disabilities in Grey and Bruce Counties to help showcase their preforming skills in front on an audience.
The two year long grant helped the theatre company with a range of tasks including recruiting, training and supporting volunteers and staff.
Lacey Mooney, Star Company Coordinator says not having to worry about any financial concerns has allowed them to create a memorable program that is life changing for everyone involved.
