While its not entirely certain what it means for Ontario locations but Peavey Mart is making a return in the Prairies.
A group of investors have acquired the rights to the Peavy Mart name and intellectual property and plan to relaunch the company.
The first of the stores are expected to open in the fall with locations to start in Alberta but later expand across the province and into Saskatchewan.
The relaunch comes to bring back the long standing retail brand at least in Alberta and Saskatchewan but there has been no word about the rest of the country.
Earlier this year it was learned all Peavy Mart locations would be closing citing unprecedented challenges including low consumer confidence, inflationary pressures and rising operating costs.
