Police Arrest Two After Violent Struggle

Two wanted suspects have been arrested after a violent struggle with police.

On April 6th just after 8:30am Hanover Police responded to a report of two people sleeping in a vehicle parked at an apartment complex in the 100 block of 11th Avenue in Hanover.

When officers tried to arrest the pair who were found to be part of a theft they violently resisted with the male suspect jumping into the driver seat with the female and drove the vehicle into the side of the building while partially dragging an officer.

The man was eventually stopped after trying to flee on foot with the woman also arrested.

Both were hit with a series of charges including Theft Under $5000, Assault with Weapon and Possession of Methamphetamine and Fentanyl for the Purpose of Trafficking.
