A Hamilton man was charged with impaired driving this week after attempting to report a crime at a Southampton property.
Saugeen Shores Police received a report of a possible break and enter at the Southampton around 5 p.m. on Nov. 7. The caller said they would meet police at the location.
Upon arrival, police noticed the caller was showing signs of impairment. The man was placed under arrest and transported to the station where he provided two breath samples to a qualified breath technician.
The 64-year-old man was charged with operation while impaired. His licence has been suspended and his vehicle was impounded.
