Menage, who is a retiree, says she’s been playing the lottery for 9 years.
She brought her ticket to the place she purchased it at, Venderwerf’s Your Independent Grocer on Goderich Street in Port Elgin to verify it once she realized she’d won.
She adds it’s her first big win. She called her sister right away to tell her the great news. She plans on buying a new reclining chair and put some of her winnings aside for a vacation.
