South Huron Council will have to make a tough decision on a condo proposal in Exeter.
The council heard from a delegation against the proposal this week as the group doesn’t want to see a historical home torn down.
The property in question is located at the corner of Waterloo and Main was built in the 1800s, but doesn’t have a heritage designation.
The developers proposal calls for a five-storey condo with 85 units. However, opposition also noted that the apartments would not qualify as “affordable housing.”
Council is now waiting for a report from staff.
