Province Expanding 3rd Dose Booster Program to All Residents

The Province announced this afternoon that they are expanding the Booster Shot program to all Ontarians and modifying the proof of vaccinations system as a result in a rose of Covid-19 cases and concerns about the threat of the Omicron variant.

As part of the move the enhanced QR code proof of vaccination is now mandatory along with the Verify Ontario app at businesses where proof of vaccination is required.

The change comes into effect January 4^th.

Effective December 20^th proof of vaccination will be required for youth 12 to 17 in order to take part in organized sports at rec facilities.

The 3^rd Dose booster program is also being expanded as of January 4^th to any one in the Province who has been at least 6 months since their second dose.
