Quebec duo claims Port Elgin Pumpkinfest bragging rights

A father-daughter duo from Quebec had the biggest pumpkin at this year’s Port Elgin Pumpkinfest.

Jim Bryson and daughter Kelsey’s prized pumpkin came in at 1,775.5 pounds.

Second place went to John Matesa of Breslau with a 1,764 pounder, Ron and Aaron Wray of Simcoe came in third with pumpkin weighing in at 1,749 pounds.

The biggest local pumpkin was a 1,747.5 pound entry from Bob and Elaine MacKenzie of Tiverton.
