The province is putting forward over $2 million to support recreation infrastructure across Bruce-Grey-Owen Sound.

MPP Paul Vickers says from grassroots community sport facilities to an OHL caliber arena, the investments will not only support local athletes and sporting organizations but the local economy as well.

Owen Sound will get the bulk of the funding to the tune of $915,000 to replace 40 year old arena floor and boards as well as refrigeration pumps, The Township of Georgian Bluffs will see $825,000 to revitalize six recreation facilities and Grey Highlands will get $294,450 for upgrades to the arena ice cooling system, water and wastewater system.
