Respiratory illness season has arrived in Huron and Perth and public health is urging the public to take the right steps and avoid getting sick.
Since the end of August there has been five respiratory illness outbreaks declared at long term care homes in Huron-Perth.
Free influenza vaccines are being offered in phases which starts with high risk and priority groups such as those aged 65 and older, hospitalized patients and residents of long term care homes.
Starting October 26th, anyone 6 months and older can get a free flu vaccine from participating primary care providers and pharmacies.
