The Saugeen Shores Police have arrested and charged a Walkerton resident after they tried to evade police and drove in excess of 170 km in an 80 zone.
Officers were on patrol last Thursday, July 13th, around 8:46 am when the driver was observed on Bruce Road 3.
Officers attempted to stop the vehicle but they sped away and passed several vehicles on the gravel shoulder while continuing in a dangerous manner.
A road block was setup on Concession 10 and Highway 21 but the driver evaded, doing a u-turn and entered into a one-way gravel pit.
The 23-year-old was eventually stopped and the driver faces various charges including dangerous driving stunt driving, driving while suspended and flight from police.
