Saugeen Shores Police have charged a Toronto driver with over a half-dozen charges following a RIDE check stop last Wednesday evening.
Officers were in Southampton around 11:20 pm when the driver entered the program.
They initially refused to comply with officer demands and even once they did they then tried to conceal or dispose of an item in the vehicle.
Officers struggled with the person and were provided with a fraudulently obtained driver’s license.
The charges for the 23-year-old of Toronto include operation while impaired, resisting & obstructing an officer, possession of schedule 1 & 3 substances and possession of forged documents & property obtained by crime.
The male remains in custody pending a bail hearing.
