The Town of Saugeen Shores is making stride is expanding housing opportunities as they receive the third installment of funding from the Canadian Mortgage Housing Corporation’s Housing Accelerator Fund.
The Town was approved for up to $3.2 million through the fund to support initiatives aimed at increasing housing supply, reducing barriers to development, and streamlining approval processes.
It’s intended over the next decade, funding will support around 659 new homes.
Mayor Luke Charbonneau says they are taking action with new solutions and partnerships that will get more housing built for the people of Saugeen Shores.
