The Town of Saugeen Shores is reminding residents of the rules around e-bikes given their increased popularity locally.
The town says there is plenty to keep in mind when operating an e-bike and to be aware of extra hazards.
While operating you must be at least 16 years or older, wear an approved bicycle or motorcycle helmet, keep your bike in good working order and follow the rules of the road.
Further bikes must have working pedals, a maximum speed of 32km per hour and a weight of 120kg including the battery and have two independent braking systems.
