The Town of Saugeen Shores has revised its plans for the Second Phase of the Lamont Sports Park due to cost concerns.
Council received a report at its recent council meeting that outlined the various elements and the associated costs of the $4.2 million dollar project.
The budget was previously approved last December and as a result of the 2 tenders received seeing the lowest at $4.5 million Council recommended removing a number of items.
They include poles for security cameras and removal of a concrete slab for a future pavilion.
This reduced the budget by nearly $700,000.
Removal of the second phase washroom building was also considered but was not removed due to their currently being portapotties on the site.
